Vienna Christian School is a two fold mission. Not only do we offer missionaries a good place to send their children, we are also blessed with the opportunity to share Christ with our international students. Vienna is a very international city. With the headquarters of the United Nations and OPEC (Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries) we have students from all over the world and many of them come not knowing Jesus. What brings them to our school? Many of them come because our tuition is lower than the other international schools. Others come because we teach in English and use an American curriculum. But no mater what their reason for coming is, we get to model Christ in our classrooms.

Ministry: Steve serves as the Field Director for SIM in Niger and helps to coordinate and lead over 100 adult missionaries involved in several ministries throughout the country. He is involved in pastoral care missionaries, mission and vision casting, mission/church relationships and leadership development. He seeks to follow God’s guidance through leading the field in key initiatives to reach Nigerians for Christ and helping the existing church to grow. Some of these key initiatives include translation, the Christian Education movement, the clinic for fistula repair; two hospitals and one seminary, addressing theological education and leadership development.
Mikki serves in a support role to Steve and also works full-time on the Sahel Academy Administrative team as the Human Resources Coordinator. She is in charge of professional development for the teachers of school and is integrally involved in planning and giving guidance to the continuous school improvement plan. The ministry of Sahel Academy is a ministry of discipleship among the children of missionaries and the children of many other expatriate workers from as many as 18 different nations. This is a vital ministry which enables many missionaries throughout West Africa to remain on the field by ministering to these families and their children.

Ministry: Good News Jail & Prison Ministry is a conservative evangelical mission which trains and provides chaplains to the world’s jails and prisons.
Alan & Sandi were members of CBC for ten years. Alan was commissioned, licensed, and ordained as a chaplain by CBC. Alan & Sandi serve as Sr. Chaplain and Administrative Assistant respectively with GNJPM. Alan served in Pottawattamie County, IA and Sarpy County, NE for five years before being led to Kentucky to start another Good News chaplaincy program in June 2002. Good News has since expanded into two additional counties with two additional Good News Chaplains. In March of 2004 a Good News Chaplain was placed in Daviess County, KY adjacent to Henderson County. On May 1, 2008, Alan and Sandi started a Good News chaplaincy program in the Vanderburgh County Confinement Center, Evansville, IN while adding an additional chaplain in and maintaining the oversight of the Henderson County Detention Center.
Due to the sensitivity of their ministry and location, three of our CBC roster missionaries are not listed. The Lord is blessing their ministries and they, too, ask for prayer as they continue to share the Gospel, disciple new believers and be a testimony to those with whom they have contacts.
